This medicine helps in reducing the amount of the virus in your body, and in result reduce liver damage. This is not a cure for hepatitis B and does not prevent the passing of hepatitis B to others.it is a nucleotide analog. Patients need to be treated with other medicine along with adefovir who are infected from hepatitis B and HIV.
