Uses of Ursodeoxycholic acid tablets:
Ursodeoxycholic Acid tablet belongs to a class of medications called gallstone dissolution agents. It is a hepatoprotective medication. This medication works by decreasing the amount of cholesterol in the blood and helps dissolve gallbladder stones that are composed mainly of cholesterol in people who cannot have gallbladder surgery, and to block gallstones in overweight patients undergoing rapid weight loss. It is a bile acid used to cure small gallstones. Gallstones can prevent the normal flow of bile if they lodge in any of the ducts that carry bile from the liver to the small intestine.
